Subject: Englewood Area Fire Control District Impact Fee Rate Increase -- Effective Jan. 1, 2025
The Charlotte County Community Development Department wishes to inform the public about the updated Fire Impact Fee rates announced by the Englewood Area Fire Control District. These changes, which took effect on Jan. 1, 2025, are necessary to fund critical capital improvements and expansions required to support the Fire District’s services in response to ongoing regional growth.
- (1) Single Family Residential Property: $404.35
- Duplex: $808.70
- Triplex: $1,213.05
- Commercial Building: (Total Square Feet of Commercial Building) x $1.12 (per sq. ft.) = Total Impact Fee
- For commercial buildings, applicant must provide copy of floor plans / survey of property.
- Mobile Home Park: (Number of Mobile Home Spaces) x $404.35 = Total Impact Fee
For Charlotte County properties, payments can be made in person at the Community Development Department, 18400 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte.
